Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Ascending Careers, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the product.

Description of the service

Ascending Careers is a tool that helps you capture real moments from your work and turn them into grounded, accurately articulated career material for interviews, performance reviews, promotion cases and CV updates. It works from evidence you provide; it doesn't invent achievements on your behalf.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. Let us know as soon as possible if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Appropriate use and workplace confidentiality

AI-generated suggestions

Suggestions, summaries and drafted outputs the product generates for you are a starting point, not a finished statement of fact. You're responsible for reviewing anything the product produces and confirming it's accurate before you rely on it or share it externally, whether in a CV, an interview or a review.

No employment or outcome guarantee

Using Ascending Careers doesn't guarantee any employment outcome, promotion, salary increase, or performance rating. It's a tool to help you organise and articulate evidence you actually have; what any employer, interviewer, or reviewer does with that is entirely outside our control.

Your content and ownership

You own the career entries and evidence you provide. By using the product, you give us permission to use that content only to provide the service to you: generating your outputs, storing your data, and similar operational purposes. We don't sell your career content.

Availability and changes to the service

We may update, add, or remove features from time to time, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance. Where a change is material, we'll try to give reasonable notice.

Suspension and account closure

We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, fraud, payment disputes or chargebacks, or other misuse of the service. You can delete your own account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The Ascending Careers name, logo, and product design belong to Ascending North Group Pty Ltd. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of that to you.

Purchases and refunds

All sales are final, except for any refund, replacement, or other remedy you're entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law. Those consumer guarantees apply regardless of this policy and can't be excluded.

Disclaimers and liability

Ascending Careers is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we don't make warranties about the service beyond what's stated in these terms, and our liability to you is limited accordingly. Nothing in this section excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that can't lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and both you and Ascending North Group Pty Ltd submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
